In this course, experienced government contracting attorney Maria Panichelli of Obermayer Rebmann Maxwell & Hippel will discuss several issues commonly arising in construction contracts, and the FAR clauses that govern these issues. Using real-life examples, Maria will walk attendees through how to deal with issues such as Changes, Differing Site Conditions, Defective Specifications, Delays, and Suspensions, while complying with the FAR, and avoiding conflict with the government.
In this course, you will learn how to:
- Identify “constructive” or implied changes
- Understand and comply with notice requirements
- Distinguish between types of differing site conditions
- Understand the difference between design and performance specifications
- Differentiate between delay, disruption, and inefficiency, acceleration, and suspension
